Communicate with Clients Without Scattered Emails
Sharing case details with clients through WhatsApp or personal email is unprofessional and insecure. Advocate CMS gives you a proper client communication channel.
How the Client Portal Works
When you want a client to see case progress:
1. Open the case in your dashboard
2. Click **Share with Client**
3. Enter the client's name and email
4. Choose what information they can see — case summary, hearing dates, uploaded documents
The client receives a secure link — no login required for basic viewing.
What Clients Can See
- Case status and brief summary
- Upcoming hearing dates
- Court orders you've chosen to share
- Filed documents and petitions
You control exactly what's visible and can revoke access anytime.
Benefits vs Email
| Feature | Email/WhatsApp | Advocate CMS Portal |
|---------|---------------|---------------------|
| Security | Low | Encrypted links |
| Audit trail | None | Full activity log |
| Professionalism | Personal channels | Your branded presence |
| Revocation | Impossible | Instant |
Best Practices
1. Update clients before every hearing — send your strategy summary
2. Share court orders promptly to maintain transparency
3. Revoke access when the case concludes or the relationship ends
4. Use custom messages with each shared link to add context
